First year at a new building!
Following a one year absence, Milwaukee Trainfest returns for a new year in a new building, the Baird Center in Milwaukee following complaints with the old venue at the State Fair Grounds at Wauwatosa for parking accessibility and not enough room in general, Trainfest was moved to the recently renovated Baird Center in downtown Milwaukee which was much bigger and had easier access to parking.
This year was a fun one, many of the old layouts seen at previous Trainfests returned, as well as some new ones, one of them being from the Northwestern Modelers, a group dedicated to creating Gauge 1 replicas of characters from Thomas & Friends, as well as an fan character named, Richard. Who you will see in this video. In addition to all the layouts, we also got to see some of the latest and upcoming models from various companies like KATO, Bachmann, Walthers, etc. So sit back and relax and watch the various model trains in this video run around at this year's Trainfest.
