Fire in the Blood - a brand new graphic novel from Pat Mills & Ian Ashcroft!

The Dead have escaped from Hell and are hiding amongst the Living. They cannot be killed, because they are already dead, and they carry the fires of Hell within them, setting their enemies alight.

The government has set up a task force: the DIA, the Department of Infernal Affairs, to deal with the emergency. They hunt down the Infernals and send them back where they belong.

But Anton De La Rue, the leader of the Hellbreakers, wrongly sentenced to Eternal Damnation, outsmarts them at every turn. Armed with the quantum power of the Spacewarp, he is an unstoppable assassin, with monstrous consequences for his enemies: the Judge who orders the Infernals back to Hell, and the Bishop who leads his congregation in a hate-filled frenzy against the Damned.

Charismatic and elusive, De La Rue has millions of followers on social media who support his fight against their corrupt rulers. The DIA are losing their propaganda battle against the Infernals.

Ambitious Detective Inspector McNeal and old-school Detective Sergeant Asquith of the DIA are ordered to capture De La Rue and send him back to Hell. But when McNeal comes face to face with him, she finds herself mysteriously attracted to the Hellbreaker. Even though she is warned off by Infernal love rival Stephanie, because, ‘He’s hot, and you’re not’.

Stylishly illustrated by Ian Ashcroft, who vividly depicts a seductive Art Deco London and a grim Supermax Hell, run by the sadistic alien Ultors.

Hellbreaker: Fire in the Blood is a dark comedy science fiction thriller, with a vigilante hero fighting oppression, in the tradition of Pat Mills’ classic series, Marshal Law and Nemesis the Warlock.
