Channeling some Molly in this dark and dramatic swipe. I don’t use red very often and I wanted to put together some rich, volcanic hues to swipe.

Base coat was 2p Payne’s Grey, 1p Pthalo Blue and 1p Cobalt Blue.

Colors:
•DecoArt Sapphire
•DecoArt Emerald mixed with Deep Sapphire (1/2 and 1/2)
•DecoArt Garnet
•DecoArt Copper mixed with Modern Masters Burnt Orange (1/2 and 1/2)

Pouring medium: 2/3 Floetrol mixed with 1/3 Creative Inspirations Gloss Medium Varnish

1p paint to 3p pouring medium.

**I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some YouTube videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.

There’s no greater feeling than pouring paint on to a canvas and watching magic happen before your eyes! I’m so honored to be displaying my work in two local restaurants here in Houston – so exciting! Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me!**
