Chinese Communist Party meets with BJP and RSS in the backdrop of the Shaksgam row

Описание: At a time when India is locked in a serious standoff with China over the Shaksgam Valley, a fresh political storm has erupted in New Delhi after senior leaders of the Communist Party of China met with the BJP, the RSS and the Congress. A six-member delegation of the Communist Party of China, led by Vice Minister Sun Haiyan, visited the BJP headquarters on January 12. The Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, was also present. BJP leaders say the talks focused on strengthening inter-party communication between India and China. The meet comes in the backdrop of China’s claim over India’s Shaksgam Valley. It is also the first political exchange between India and China since the 2020 Galwan clash where 20 Indian soldiers were killed. Congress leader Pawan Khera accused the BJP of double standards, even as the Chinese delegation also met senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid earlier today.
