In this continuation of The Faithful Word, Pastor David reveals that the Word of God not only speaks promises but also makes a clear distinction between those who serve God and those who do not.
In Malachi 3:18, the Bible declares that there will be a visible difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not. The Word of God carries integrity, and when you receive the Word through the gospel, it separates your life from the world.
Through the example of Noah (Genesis 6), we see what it means to carry the Word of God faithfully. God instructed Noah to build the ark, and it took about one hundred years to complete. During that time people mocked him, laughed at him, and continued living their normal lives, eating and drinking as described in Matthew 24:37–38. Yet Noah held firmly to the Word God had spoken. When the flood finally came, the difference was clear. The same Word Noah carried for one hundred years carried him through the flood. The Word that you carry will carry you.
Pastor David also highlights the powerful contrast between the children of Israel and the Egyptians in Exodus 10:22–23. While darkness covered the land of Egypt, there was light in the homes of Israel. This illustrates the spiritual reality that the children of God walk in light, while the world remains in darkness.
Looking at the lives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we see how the blessing of God is passed from generation to generation through the Word. In Genesis 48:15, Jacob testified that God had fed him all the days of his life. The blessing given in Genesis 27:27 was more than material wealth—it was the inheritance of God’s Word, showing that words carry blessing and destiny.
Through the life of the prophet Elijah, we also see the faithfulness of God to provide for His servants. In 1 Kings 17:4, God commanded ravens to feed Elijah. Later, in 1 Kings 17:8–9, God commanded a widow to sustain him, and in 1 Kings 19:5–6, angels themselves ministered to him with food. Our God is the God who feeds and sustains His people.
The testimony of Jacob continues in Genesis 48:16, where he speaks of “the Angel who redeemed me from all evil,” reminding us that God not only provides but also protects His people.
In Deuteronomy 32:9–12, we see how God preserved Jacob even when he fled from his brother Esau with nothing but the promise of God. The Lord found him in a desert land, encircled him, instructed him, and kept him safe.
Jacob’s encounter with God in Genesis 32:27 also reminds us of the importance of seeking God wholeheartedly. As Jeremiah 29:13 declares, when we seek the Lord with all our heart, we will surely find Him.
This message will encourage you to trust in the Word of God, knowing that the same Word that sustained the saints in Scripture will sustain you today. The Word of God separates, preserves, protects, and sustains all who believe.
Let this message strengthen your faith and remind you that the Word of God is faithful in every generation.
