The Westfjords is a large and very mountainous and peninsula in northwestern Iceland. The coastline is formed by multiple beautiful fjords and it is mostly surrounded by steep hills. This part of Iceland is not flooded with tourists like many other places in the south of the country. If you like scandinavian landscapes and nature, peace and quiet, truly unspoiled wilderness, a visit to Westfjords will not disappoint you.
