STOP 1 Kalkbrydning i Gryden (Limestone quarry in Gryden)
Today, Faxe has Lime A / S around 65 employees and about 3 million tonnes are handled annually in the limestone quarry.
STOP 2 Moræne & mammutter: (Moraine & mammoths)
STOP 3 Mosdyr & flint: (Moss & flint)
STOP 4 Et koldt koralrev (A cold coral reef)
due to health risks in the form of cold shock (the water is very cold just below the surface, and can cause shock). Luckily, the beautiful view of the turquoise lakes is worth the trip alone.
STOP 5 Find your own fossil
You can borrow a hammer and chisel from Geomuseum Faxe, it costs 25 dkk.
