Flowers bloom and wilt with no regrets, while fate comes and goes like ocean tides. Just as flowers evoke beauty and elegance in the eyes of the beholder, “Where the Flowers Bloom” reflects the nature of Chinese dance, where goodness and beauty are upheld in a passionate display of grace and refinement.

Dandelions are the epitome of courage. When their fruits have ripened, they are carried by the wind to embark on a journey unbeknownst to them. Despite being unable to control where the wind takes them, they fearlessly embrace the journey, bravely taking root as they arrive at the destination.

Symbolising resilience and new beginnings, this performance by the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT) captures the delicate yet determined journey of dandelions carried by the wind.

This stereoscopic VR180 production of "Chasing Winds: When Dandelions Fly" was adapted from SCDT's triple bill "Where the Flowers Bloom" staged in 2023. Watch it on a VR headset for the full immersive experience.
