In this video, I go over a somewhat detailed (read Wikipedia) story of a music artist called glaive, aka, Ash Gutierrez (that's on google). I talk about how he started making music, and most important details of his carrier as an artist.
Glaive originally began making more traditional hyperpop songs, although recently has begun to stray away from hyperpop and more towards making pop music, although still has some noticeable features from hyperpop, such as the large use of 808s.
I hope you enjoy the video, and if you do, I would love if you could sub, it's not that hard so like, yk what to do.
if ur here, comment something to confuse everyone else, like... 752 or something idk lol
script:
Glaive, aka Ash, is a small hyperpop/pop artist from Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Ash was born on the 20th of January of 2005, making him only 17 as of 2022.
(Yes I wrote this script in 2022, if this is being released 2023)
Ash was born into a relatively wealthy family, and was able to live a good early life.
However, during early 2020, during the covid-19 pandemic, glaive began recording music in his bedroom, under the alias glaive, which was inspired from the 2016, dark souls 3, sometimes he would record during his classes, which is why in some songs, specifically stephany, you can hear his teacher talking towards the end.

During April of 2020, he would begin to collaborate with other hyperpop artists, connecting with them through Discord servers, and through this he met his now good friend, and a producer, called Kurtains, and with these new connections, he would continue to grow very popular on soundcloud, and, more importantly, he would regularly appear on spotify’s “Hyperpop” playlist, which is a dream for most artists, with being on one of spotify’s playlists being a guaranteed way to grow your audience tenfold, especially for a smaller artist, like glaive was at the time, and with this new found success, Interscope Records, a large, prestigious record label owned by Universal Music Group, aka UMG, signed him to do 2 EPs with them. Glaive released 2 singles, clover in August, and eyesore in November of 2020. Later that year, in November, he released his first EP with Interscope, and his debut EP, Cypress Grove, including songs such as as; Astrid, Touché, 2009, eyesore, dnd, and pissed, writing and recording all of these songs in only 1 week. In January of 2021, he released his first song with the also notable, EricDOA, but his story is for another day. This song saw relative success, despite the song, and it’s video all being recorded, edited, produced, and mixed in the same day. And in february of 2021, he released a music video for his song “Astrid” which boosted the song by over 1 million views on youtube. He continued on to release his single “I wanna slam my head against the wall” in March of 2021, which blew up and became his most viewed song on youtube. After this he continued to collaborate with the artist Aldn, with this song becoming one of the most popular songs for both artists. After this he continued to drop more songs, all of which would perform well, with one of them, detest me, gaining over 1 million views on youtube. Until he dropped his second EP with Interscope, ending his contract with them. This EP was the “All dogs go to heaven” EP, which would soon become one of his most popular EPs, it included many of the singles he had released during 2021, such as Bastard, I wanna slam my head against the wall, synopsis, stephany, 1984, and poison. After a short drought of content from glaive, he dropped his collaborative EP with EricDOA, which would include some notable songs such as; Mental Anguish, Heather, Cloak n dagger, and fuck this town, along with a few, smaller songs, which were still enjoyed by their fans and the general hyperpop scene. Glaive followed this drop with a new single, prick, which would be the lead of his next EP, “Old Dog, New Tricks” which would be the deluxe version of his second EP, “All dogs go to heaven” this EP would be released in early January of 2022, including 4 new songs, and glaive announced on his instagram that he would be having his first ever Headline tour through north america, to support his new release. This tour lasted from February to March, with opening artists, Midwxst and Aldn, both of which are friends of glaive, and artists who he has collaborated with. After this tour he announced on his instagram story that he would begin work on his first studio debut album, expected to drop late 2022.
I can't add the rest, because of youtube limiting it, but ill make a google doc, just comment if I haven't lol.
