I (36F) met my ex-fiancé (34M) around ten years ago on a trip to LA. We were surprised to find out that both of us lived nearby back home and ended up spending the entire trip together. We started dating when we came back and were together for three years before he proposed. My ex-fiancé was an accountant but he wanted to be a singer. He really did have a nice voice but in spite of that, kept getting rejected everywhere because he was a solo act and his voice alone didn't cut it. He used to have a band in high school and even through college, they stayed together but after that, they had to break up because life got in the way. I'd feel kind of sad listening to him talk about his passion for music and trying to convince him to talk to his old buddies and do something about it.
