#100daysofpractice day 14. Trying out new ideas ahead of Natural Machines 2.0 concert at @grandmanege.namur. With the new notation system I developed, I can send notes to the musicians in real time, and because they arrive with some advance notice, we can do rhythm! Here I’m generating an evolving chord sequence, and the harmonies are being assigned in a 5/4 pattern to the members of the band, and I’m blowing over it all. It’s an incredible experience to have a musical thought and hear it be immediately brought to life by expert musicians.
