Making New DIY Campervan Headlining VW T4 High Top Head Lining Replacement

Описание: In this short video I show how I make my own brand new headlining for my VW T4 High Top Transporter van which I am converting from basic panel van to campervan (See links below for parts). When I bought the van, there was no headlining at all in the high top so I knew I would either have to make or buy one. I decided to make my own headlining, cut it to size, carpet it and install it. The entire process took about 3-4 hours total.

I had to install some headlining into the high top as I have insulated the high top all around the roof space so headlining is required to hide all the insulation and to leave a professional finish. I make the headlining from 2x 4mm 8x4 ply sheets. The 4mm ply is quite flimsy but once carpeted becomes a lot more durable.

The carpet is glued on with high temp spray adhesive to make sure it wont peel back off. I do not secure the headlining in its final place as I still have to run my electrical cabling behind the side panels and install the lights in the roof panel but the test fit shows how they will look.
