Replacing Porcelain Veneers with VENLAY® Restorations.
Many patients may start to experience discomfort in their bite and TMJ pain after receiving porcelain veneers. In response to this, numerous cosmetic dentists opt to perform "bite adjustments." Essentially, this procedure involves removing portions of the patient's healthy teeth to alleviate the pain. The discomfort often arises due to the dentist having to reduce the tooth structure during the veneer placement process. However, it is important to note that in some cases, bite adjustments performed by a dentist may inadvertently result in a deeper overbite.
