In a major legal setback for Donald Trump, the U.S Supreme Court has struck down his sweeping tariff policy, ruling it unconstitutional. In a decisive 6–3 verdict, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the president overstepped his authority by using emergency powers under IEEPA to impose wide-ranging tariffs on global imports. "President Trump will always put our national security and Americans first. The President has multiple tools in his toolbox," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reacted to US Supreme Court ruling over Global Tariff.
