Описание: নদীমাতৃক আবহমান বাংলার চিরায়ত নিয়মানুযায়ী আষাাঢ়ের নতুন পানি আসলেই গাঁয়ের বধুদের নাইওর যাওয়ার ধুম পড়তো। বাবা-মা, ভাই-বোনদের বিরহে আকুল মন নৌকার ছইয়ের দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতো, কখন বাপের বাড়ি থেকে কেউ তাকে নিতে আসবে। গানটিতে লোকগীতির কিংবদন্তী উকিল মুন্সী সুনিপুণভাবে এঁকেছেন এই চিত্র। আর শিল্পী বারী সিদ্দিকীর কণ্ঠে তা হয়ে উঠেছিল জীবন্ত। এ বিখ্যাত গানটি খালি গলায় গাওয়ার প্রচেষ্টা আশা করি আপনাদের ভাল লাগবে।

According to the traditional rules of river flow in Bengal, the fresh water of 'Ashar' actually used to send the brides of the village to 'Naior'. Brides were anxiously looking at the bow of the boat, when someone would come to pick him up to his father's house. Folk legend Ukil Munshi has masterfully painted this picture in the song.
