Описание: Sue Costello landed her sitcom Costello after being fired from Murphy Brown, where she had a 13-episode arc and a development deal. Candice Bergen, upset that Les Moonves used Murphy Brown to promote Costello, fired Sue out of jealousy before she could perform live. Moonves then tapped Sue to replace Douglas last-minute. At the pilot, Rico Colantoni revealed that Miller, in meetings with director Jim Burrows, wanted someone "funnier but not funnier than me," referring to Douglas.
