Regirock Solo Run - Pokémon Red

   • The Sanqui Randomizer Tool. How does it work?  

Rock types normally don't perform well overall in Generation 1. However, we have a rock type with decent coverage, 200 base defense, and 100 base special. But we won't be outspeeding anything. Can Regirock claim the title of best Regi?


Before you ask. If you want to know how I managed to get Regirock in Generation 1, Google "Sanqui".

Some common questions you might have.
Q: Are move sets updated?
A: Yes. Believe it updates to X and Y. Although not all moves from Gen 1 to Gen 6 are in the game I believe.

Q: Why didn't the rival pick Bulbasaur? Wouldn't that be your toughest match up?
A: The rom generates starters randomly, and reads it as its still Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur. I cannot replace it as with the Universal Pokémon Randomizer. So, in this case, it replaced Charmander's pokeball. So the rival picked Squirtle.

Q: How do you know what moves you can and can't learn?
A: I don't. Trial and error, and lots of resetting.




RULES:
1. I can only use Regirock in battle. Other Pokémon can be obtained for HMs ONLY.
2. No items in battle.
3. No glitches or exploits (badge boost is the exception due to the faulty programming of Red/ Blue).
4. No Double Team TM until level 100. Pokemon that learn the move naturally get an exception (new as of 6/18/23).
5. No saving between Elite 4 members.

What is the Badge Boost Glitch?
When you collect odd numbered badges the game boosts a stat by 12.5%. Brock gives attack, Surge gives defense, Koga gives speed, and Blaine gives special. When any of your stats are modified, even if your opponent uses a move to modify your stats like Growl, the badge boosts are re-applied. So If you use Swords Dance, you also gain an additional 12.5% in Speed/Defense/Special (on top of the 12.5% you were supposed to be getting). When you level up, the game corrects this error and recalculates your stats, and only the non-glitch 12.5% remains.
