Alex Jung, a self-produced independent artist from Bavaria, inspired to pick up the instrument by the guitar-driven melodies and riffs of the '90s, is captivated by the magic of improvisation and the art of crafting compelling melodies. Jazz and complex instrumental music became his passion during his jazz guitar studies at UMPA Munich, where he graduated in 2008 and has been teaching since. Over a decade of touring alongside seasoned and renowned artists in the jazz and classical world across Europe enriched his craft. Through dedicated guitar research, etudes shared on social media and soundslice, he's made a distinctive mark on the guitar scene.

The release of the EP "INSIDE PASSAGE" represents a culmination of compositions that have long been the backbone of his acoustic jazz trio, alongside his esteemed peers Heiko Jung and Sebastian Lanser. Amidst the challenges and spare time of the pandemic, Jung embarked on a journey to unleash the fullest potential of these melodies, delving into their sonic intricacies and orchestrating them beyond the confined realm of the jazz guitar trio towards a new direction."
