As of v1.28, Android 18 can cancel a successful barrier block with a special move. This video shows some of the very specific situation that this property might come in handy.

214L is a very quick option from barrier, but Vanish is needed for continuation. EX grab is not bad either, since you have the option to choose a side after the grab. The combos after both will be very basic, so I didn't show them here.

But I think more often than not she might be better off without cancelling the barrier, since the opponent could have assist coverage that could hit 18 if she does so. The buffer window for barrier cancel is also not long enough for early buffering, and some of these have to be done really preemptively for good return.
