The Neretva River weaves a tale of unreal beauty and historical significance as it courses through the heart of the Balkans. Its journey begins high in the Dinaric Alps, a testament to nature's artistry, as it springs forth from the rugged mountains and embarks on a meandering path towards the Adriatic Sea.

One of the most iconic features along the Neretva's course is the city of Mostar, where the Stari Most, or Old Bridge, stands as a symbol of resilience and unity. This 16th-century Ottoman bridge, once destroyed during the Bosnian War, has been lovingly rebuilt, and its elegant arch now spans the Neretva once more, connecting the city's two sides.
