This is about half the solo section from a song called 'These Are The Simple Days', which will be on my upcoming solo release. The solo release can best be described as a modern progressive rock record, featuring myself on keys and lead vocals, Kevin DePree on drums, and Gary Davenport on bass. I hope to have it released by the end of 2014.
The goal with this record is to revisit progressive rock's keyboard centric roots. I am heavily influenced by the great prog bands of the 70s, especially Genesis and Yes.
This song in particular is influenced by Tony Banks' work on Wind & Wuthering. This is an early version of the song with programmed drums and no guitar. The album version will have real drums by Kevin Depree and real acoustic guitar by Jake Reichbart.
