🐛 INCHWORMS FOR DYNAMIC STRETCH
▪️
🎯 To start May off, I wanted to demonstrate and share the inchworm exercise with you! This exercise is great for mobilizing key joints such as the shoulders and hips. Areas of focus include hamstrings, shoulders, and core engagement. This movement serves to prepare your body and mind for an upcoming exercise session, recreational sport, or competition.

🔑 It's not about getting the exercise over with, it's about intent! Take your time piecing together each section of the movement. From the hinge, walk down, plank, and pike position - getting into each position requires a baseline level of control over your body. If you notice yourself struggling with any aspects of this movement, take a second to understand which part and why. You will learn a lot about your body this way!

👉🏻 The feet walk ins are not mandatory and can be excluded to include only the hand walk ins and walk outs! This is actually how I first learned the inchworm exercise.

✅ Try implementing this into an upcoming exercise session and see if you notice a difference in your range of motion or a change in the quality of your workout!
