Jharsuguda tragedy: 5 police personnel killed after trailer rams bolero near Sadar police station

Описание: A devastating road accident claimed the lives of five police personnel in Jharsuguda after a speeding trailer collided head-on with a police Bolero vehicle around 3:00 a.m. The tragic incident occurred in front of the Jharsuguda Sadar Police Station.

According to reports, eight police personnel were returning from Brajarajnagar after attending a wedding function when the trailer, coming from the opposite direction, rammed into their vehicle. The impact was so severe that the Bolero was completely crushed.

Five personnel were declared dead on the spot, while three others sustained critical injuries. The injured were initially admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital, and two were later shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla for advanced treatment.

Senior officials visited the hospital to supervise the situation and offer condolences to the bereaved families. The trailer and its driver have been detained, and a detailed investigation is underway.
