Pharmacology is one of the most important branches in pharmacy, it deals with the study of the drug, drug's effect on the body and body responsible for the drug which has been taken is called pharmacology. Pharmacology has two main branches- (1) Pharmacodynamic and (2) Pharmacokinetic.
Route of drug administration is the medium in which any drug is introduced into the body for its action. there are several routes of administration for the drug, like oral, sublingual, buccal, topical, parenteral, transdermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, vaginal and rectal.

There are various routes of administration available, each of which has associated advantages and disadvantages. All the routes of drug administration need to be understood in terms of their implications for the effectiveness of the drug therapy and the patient’s experience of drug treatment.

It is a Greek word which means the " the action of body on the drugs ".
Pharmacokinetic Involves the study of drug's absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion .
Pharmacodynamic : -
It is also a Greek word which means " the action of drugs on the body ".
Pharmacodynamics involves the study of concentration of drugs on the site of action , result of effect , timing of drug's action , adverse effect etc.

1) Pharmacotherapeutics :
A person who has knowledge of Pharmacology can treat the patients , because he Knows selection of appropriate drugs , their dosage , and half life .

A pharmacologist can work in the field of preclinical trails .
3) Clinical Trails :
A pharmacologist can work in the field of clinical trails .
4) Drug discovery :
A pharmacologist can go in the field of research and discover many of new drugs .
5) Toxicology :-
A pharmacologist can reduce the toxicity effect, and turn adverse effects .
