Have you wished you bring something back from extinction - the dodo? Bus conductors? An old recipe for a chocolate bar?
Well, that's what's currently happening on the Severn Valley Railway as volunteers have started a project to do just that, with the hope of bringing a NEW BR 3MT 2‑6‑2 82000 tank class to life from the workshop Bridgnorth MPD!
It's a real phoenix from the flames stuff!
The new 82045 is being built from scratch and we go behind the scenes to find out more about this truly unique project to bring back a long yearned for class of locomotive.
Hopefully we'll be see 82045 out on the rails, exploring the Severn Valley Railway, very soon!
