On this trip, our green Jeep broke a ball joint in the deep snow of Idaho’s mountains, leaving it stuck overnight for a “sleepover on the hill.” The next day, we loaded up, grabbed parts from town, and went on a rescue mission to bring it back home.

During the adventure, the red Jeep’s transmission linkage also caused problems (held together with zip ties!), but the team pushed through. From pulling axles to grinding broken parts, and finally getting the steering back—this was a true off-road recovery mission.
