In the mid-90s, I worked for a law firm that defended many of the alleged Wall Street boiler room operations. In 2002, I moved to South Florida, where I began strictly representing customers in claims against brokerage firms. Something that I came to realize is that the major Wall Street brokerage firms was creating far greater financial havoc than many of the small brokerage firms that we're the subject of movies like The Wolf of Wall Street. The purpose behind the Sheep of Wall Street and the reason for the title is to serve as a reminder that many of our largest financial institutions are viewing their customers not as people whose retirements they're protecting and preserving, but rather that they are also looking at investors as sheep for which they sell their financial products.
