Описание: After exploring the origins of the challenge and the revolution introduced by modularity, this third chapter gets to the heart of what makes Thor truly unique: automation. The real innovation lies not only in the machine’s performance, but its ability to independently manage complex processes, freeing operators from the most demanding and repetitive tasks, and reducing the risk of human error.

The concept is as simple as it is revolutionary: press a button and the system does the rest.
Thor monitors and regulates product-related parameters, optimizes consumption, reduces steam and gas usage, and minimizes emissions. The entire process is controlled by a digital brain capable of monitoring every variable in real time, maximizing line productivity, and ensuring operational continuity and consistent quality.

But reaching this level of automation didn’t happen overnight.
Teamwork played a key role in turning an ambitious goal into a practical solution. Installing an “almost autonomous” system required technical expertise, complex design choices and continuous dialog between those who build the machine and those who use it every day.

The final result sparked a shared sense of pride: the knowledge that a new milestone had been set in the industrial processing of tomatoes.

For Conserve Italia, automation represented a strategic evolution.
Not only to improve environmental sustainability—already a key aspect of the project—but also to transform the way people worked inside the plant.

Today, operators no longer need to stand watch over hot, noisy areas. Thanks to air-conditioned control rooms, they can monitor production through intuitive panels and clear parameters, managing the system in conditions of maximum safety and comfort.

The accounts of Simone Formigoni (Production Manager at the Ravarino facility), Maria Vittoria Tornesello (Head of the Mesagne facility) and Davide Ricci (Production Manager at the Albinia facility) show how automation has lightened the physical workload, reduced operational risk and improved the quality of everyday work. People, they remind us, are the company’s most valuable asset, and every technical choice must have a positive impact on them.

The investment made by Conserve Italia truly touches every aspect of production:
product quality, thanks to the precision of digital checks on the various parameters;
environmental sustainability, with reduced consumption and emissions, and optimized processes;
social sustainability, through a safer and more modern work environment.

An important example comes from the Ravarino plant, located near a residential area. Here, the project also included a major soundproofing intervention carried out by Rossi Ingegneria Alimentare, which made it possible to completely insulate the machinery, reducing both internal and external acoustic impact.

A substantial step toward ecological and digital transition in a virtuous model that, thanks to technological innovation, combines competitiveness, sustainability, and a focus on people.
