2025 Milwaukee Trainfest

Описание: Trainfest... located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a model railroading themed event that's held every year during the month of November for an awesome 2 day weekend of all things in the railroad industry. This year's occasion was held on the weekend of November 1st and 2nd, 2025.

History of trainfest:
Trainfest all began at a Milwaukee Veterans of Foreign War hall in 1971, the same year Amtrak was formed, as a 1 day only show. Over the years, the event has expanded to over 200,000 square feet. In 2008, trainfest saw an increase from 20,979 visitors in 2007 to 21,621 guests in 2008, let alone a flitering economy at the time during the Great Recession. In 2020, trainfest wouldn't be held due to restrictions as required during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, 2021 would be the first year since 2019 to have trainfest. Sadly, that wouldn't last much longer. Until 2022, the Southeastern Wisconsin division of the National Model Railroad Association and the Wisconsin State Fair Park (Wisconsin Exposition Center) has sponsored trainfest in the nearby Milwaukee suburb of West Allis, Wisconsin. In 2023, trainfest was temporarily discontinued as the NMRA lost their contract agreement with the WSFP. However, the Baird Center was contracted to host the event, which the event resumed in 2024 at a new and closer location after a Phase 2 renovation of the building was completed just in time for the venue to promote the event, exactly 3 blocks east of the nearby Amtrak Milwaukee Intermodal Station.
