John Pilger investigates the impact that 'Cambodia Year Ten' had on the global community a year after its transmission. 'Cambodia, The Betrayal' notes that Britain, for the first time in fifteen years, sent a diplomatic representative to Cambodia. Sweden abstained from a motion at the UN to continue Cambodia's global isolation. Australia launched a peace plan which was accepted by the UN. The European Parliament called for recognition of the Hun Sen government and for UN development aid to be provided.
