Dunhuang is the last city heading west out of Gansu Province, China. An olf frontier town surrounded by the huge sand dunes of the Gobi Desert.
There are a few phenomenal places to visit here - The Singing Sand Dunes and the crescent moon lake are out of this world, but nothing compares to the Mogao Grottoes - the most famous of China's Buddhist grottoes.
The journey is almost an end now, only one more stop left - as far into the desert as Gansu goes - look out for that video in a few days time.
