Tom Hiddleston's Loki returns as the wild card that proves this wasn’t just a random rivalry and was manipulated into happening by Zeus so he can regain control over the pantheons that humanity has all but forgotten in favor of superheroes using their names.

This action is simply amazing with god-level battles that show what happens when you have immortal beings with nothing to lose throwing down across multiple worlds. You will get to see Hemsworth and Johnson deliver some of their best stunt work ever in long-running combat sequences blending the style of Norse and Greek combat, each god's powers give us visually distinct fighting making their eventual alliance against the true threat a lot more rewarding. The film looks at legacy and relevance as both gods try to find their place in a world where humans replaced worship with science, wondering if continuing to exist is serving any purpose other than providing violence and spectacle for humanity. Hiddleston again steals every scene he is in as Loki plays both sides because it’s his nature to cause chaos, however for the first time in this series, he actually cares for his brother enough to put aside his love of mischief to prevent Zeus' plan from erasing all pantheons and solidifying Olympus as the top mythology. Where this goes above and beyond your average vs movie is exploring how the various mythologies would interact if they were existing simultaneously, asking are the gods fighting to prove they still matter heroic or pitiful when humans do not need them anymore? Expect jaw-dropping set pieces in both Asgard and Olympus, honest character development regarding pride and growing up, and a final showdown that proves sometimes the biggest strength is learning to stop fighting and build something new together.
