Sashiko - beginning a new journey

Описание: Sashiko is everywhere in the craft world - or so it seems. As a beginner, join us in starting a journey to try out and learn this form of Japanese embroidery.

Sashiko is both practical and beautiful. In this video we look at some of the basics to complete 2 coasters.

We start by managing our Sashiko thread to keep it tidy and fresh then work on 2 printed pieces of fabric following simple, yet detailed patterns.

This Sashiko uses Running Stitch and Quilters Knots which were covered in the first couple of videos on our channel.

Lets learn together with interesting pieces starting with this easy project. Keep an eye open for future Sashiko projects to expand upon our knowledge and make beautiful garments and utility items.
