Silu is a legendary Newar-language film that tells the heartfelt story of Hira and Tuyu Maicha, a young couple from Kathmandu. Defying cultural norms, they set out together on a sacred pilgrimage to Silu (Gosaikunda), despite traditional beliefs warning that couples should not make the journey together. Their love and devotion are tested when the pilgrimage takes an unexpected and tragic turn — Tuyu Maicha is kidnapped by bandits, leaving Hira heartbroken and desperate.
