Playing to get 286 points in this rando, as current record is 285 by PotatoonCrack - • Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door 1 Hour...
The basics of how a run works:
1. Do all badges/item checks to obtain as many coins as possible via selling once you find a shop.
2. Find a shop, sell items, hopefully have at least 500 coins (more if going for Danger Mario), and reload shop until you see Power Rush/Mega Rush/Mega Rush P. Obtain other badges/items you would want to have for whatever strat you're going for as well.
3. Find rooms where you can easily defeat enemies for a lot of star points to get necessary level ups.
4. Search for key items if you have time.
5. Begin fighting bosses and racking up points.
6. Pray
7. World Record?????
