Vantour - our Iveco Daily 4x4 Motorhome

Описание: We traveled for 1,5 year in this monster, time to show you what it looks like inside and out!

Our Iveco Daily 4x4 (55S18W) was built in 2008 for a Siberian winter expedition by Oltre (does not exist anymore, but several Youtube movies can still be found online, please search "Oltre 2008"). Actually, they have built 2 nearly identical Daily's for this expedition together with a few Iveco Massif's. These vehicles tried to drive around the arctic circle early 2009. Our Daily was mostly used as a canteen to provide coffee, soup and other warm food for all the men in the expedition.

After this, it was used by Iveco for a couple of years for advertisement purposes. Then it was bought by an Italian who converted it to be more suitable as a camper. He made a shower and toilet with black and grey water tanks. As far as we know, he and his wife only went 2 times on holiday to Croatia before selling it to an Englishman. Although it was transported to England, it has never been registered for English roads and had therefor hardly been driven by this owner before selling it to us in June 2017.

We built a liftable bed (1.90m x 1.35m) into it, which hangs above the seating area and can be winched down manually in the evening. We had a lot of fun with it, we drove about 35.000 km in 1.5 year travelling without any issues. We have traveled most of Europe, and a little bit of Africa and Asia. We lived a true 4x4 vanlife!
