Ingredients:
To boil the dal:
Split moong dal- 1/2 cup
Small onion - 6pcs
Garlic cloves - 4pcs
Green chilly- 3pcs
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Coconut oil- 1 tsp
To make masala
Grated coconut- 1/4 cup
Jeera - 1 tsp
Water- 1/4 cup
To make seasoning:
Coconut oil- 2tsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Onion- 1 tbsp finely chopped
Dry red chilly- 4 PCs
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Tips:
Dry roast the dal until u get the nice aroma.
Pressure cook the dal at least for 3 whistles.
Smash well and then add the ground coconut paste.
Boil for 5 mins after adding the coconut paste.
Don’t boil for more time.
Finally add the seasoning and close with lid and keep it aside for sometime.
Mix well before serving.
Can use ghee instead of coconut oil for seasoning.
