I oftentimes work with students who pull their arms across their body (midline) in the downswing. This tends to stall the body and rotation, and can lead to an overpowering from the hands and arms. By learning to tow the club (and even in some cases the arms with a more passive approach) the golfer can better sequence the golf swing, learning to power the club differently in the downswing and into the ball.
