About Colaba (Kolaba) Fort:
Colaba Fort was built in the 17th century by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to strengthen the Maratha naval defense. The fort is located in the Arabian Sea, about 1–2 km from Alibag beach, and is accessible by walking during low tide or by boat during high tide.

The fort has strong stone walls, ancient cannons, freshwater wells, temples, and ruins of old structures that reflect the glory of the Maratha Empire. Inside the fort, you’ll also find the Siddhivinayak Temple, which is still worshipped by locals.

About Alibag:
Alibag is a popular coastal town near Mumbai, often called the “Goa of Maharashtra”. It is famous for its clean beaches, sea forts, coconut trees, local food, and peaceful vibes. Alibag is a perfect destination for weekend trips, family outings, bike rides, and budget travel.
