Описание: Beautiful cool walk in the suburb I'm proud to call home. Walk starting off in Jim Belich Playground with lush nature surroundings, skate park, and flying fox. Crossing the zebra pedestrian crossing to watch a soccer match at Wakefield Park. Then down the main road of Island Bay, known as The Parade, with fabulous giant oak trees lining the west side of The Parade. Passing Island Bay Shops and New World. Then continuing down The Parade, through Shorland Park. A waltz along one of the two concrete pillars at Island Bay Beach, following the shore to Island Bay Marine Education Centre Bait House Aquarium (but I call it Island Bay Aquarium as... its an aquarium in Island Bay... and one of few aquariums in Wellington).

Its wonderful to be a part of this suburban community! Pets and nature lovers. Amenities to get you through a lockdown such as a supermarket, cinema, vet, pharmacy, post shop, beach, and parks. And high frequency double decker bus services delivering you to high school, uni or work in the City, some 8km from Island Bay... its tucked away from most of the hustle & bustle of the city, yet not too far away from the city. Island Bay, located on the southern urban fringe of Wellington. With a population of approximately 8,000... Island Bay is the largest southern-most suburb Wellington has, with Owhiro Bay being more southern with a smaller population.
