This took a while. The video was shot over the course of a few days. Total time was about 12 hours.
My first time cutting. I used a wool pad for most of the surfaces. On a few smaller areas, I used a smaller rotary.
Things I learned:
the step before (wetsanding the clear) should be done carefully. I was impatient and used a DA for the clear. I fought the pig tails on the hood for a while.
I should have done the clear sanding only by hand wet. It would have taken longer, but it would have been easier overall.
what I thought could be fixed in cutting can't. Perfect your wet sanding. Defects you see in wet sanding will be visible after cutting.
Stay away from the edges. I burned through a few small spots.
Initially, I used the CSI XX for cutting. It worked great on 90% of the areas. But I had to get a more aggressive compound (105) for the hood. I'll use CSI again for buffing.
All of this takes time. I didn't buff as I'm going to assemble first and see if I cause any other scratches.
