I just had to record more POV driving footage of the 2018 Honda Accord, this time more on city and back roads. This is a Sport trim 2.0T with the 6 speed manual transmission.

The midsize sedan segment has been extremely competitive for the last several decades, particularly represented by the never-ending rivalry of the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. As of 2018, the midsize sedan is having a tougher time surviving in the market, as buyers have drifted toward more practical and utilitarian crossover vehicles. Honda has reinvented this tenth generation Accord in an attempt to have buyers reconsider purchasing this type of vehicle instead of a CUV, and they certainly created an excellent product.

Just like the outgoing ninth generation Accord sedan, there are five trim levels and a total of four engine/transmission combinations available:

LX - the most affordable
Sport - the most athletic
EX and EX-L - midlevel/most popular
Touring - fully loaded

Base engine standard on every trim:
1.5 Liter Turbo DOHC VTEC I4
192 hp
192 lb-ft torque

CVT automatic - standard on every trim with this engine
6 Speed Manual - available on Sport trim for no change in price

Uplevel engine available on Sport, EX, and Touring trims:
2.0 Liter Turbo DOHC VTEC I4
252 hp
273 lb-ft torque

10 speed automatic (standard on Sport, EX, and Touring)
6 speed manual (available on Sport for no price change)
