The greatest challenge is to clean and decontaminate the used products to reuse it. Water, sand, steel, paper or sugar are examples of contaminants, which have to be eliminated. The solution is washing, decontamination and filtration!

For an efficient and effective washing process, a constant feedstock and as little cross contamination with foreign polymers as possible is needed. However, flakes will never be 100 percent clean. Smaller metal particles, glue, oils or other volatile contaminants can be always found in the input material.
