World Scholar's Cup Nairobi Round 2019

Описание: The Nairobi regional round of the World Scholar’s Cup 2019 successfully came to a close in style with resounding victory for Light International School!
Out of the close to 800 students who participated, LIS emerged the best winning the most sought-after trophy of the competition in the senior category- THE OVERALL TEAM TROPHY!
In addition, LIS won the following trophies; First place debate team- senior division, first place bowl team- senior division, second place writing team-senior division, second place writing team-senior division, second place bowl team- senior division, third place bowl team-senior division, third place overall team- senior division and fifth place debate team- junior division.
Our school was represented by 76 students who did compete in both junior and senior categories and in total won over 60 silver and gold medals. It was pomp and splendour as our students hit the stage to receive their awards and as they had their moment of fame. With this success our students did merit to compete in the Global Round of the competition and will now prepare to travel overseas to battle it out with other students from other parts of the world.
We take pride in this overwhelming success and congratulate our students and teachers for their commitment and hard work. We also extend our gratitude to parents for their support in the journey of this success.
