एक दिन ऋष्यश्रृंग ऋषि अंगदेश आये। ऋषि, शांता से प्रभावित हुए और विवाह के लिए तैयार हो गए।
एक भव्य समारोह में विवाह संपन्न हुआ। शांता और ऋष्यश्रृंग ने प्रसन्नता से जीवन व्यतीत किया।

शांता रामायण में एक छोटा, परन्तु महत्वपूर्ण पात्र हैं। वह त्याग, प्रेम और करुणा का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं, जो कि महिलाओं के लिए एक आदर्श है।
