Scattered light snow will be possible through sunrise, with temps in the upper teens. Accumulation is not expected in any significant way before 6 AM.
The main event of our next snowmaker will bring widespread light to moderate snow across central Ohio beginning as the morning commute gets going through the early afternoon. These snow showers, which could at times be heavy, will cause some areas of low visibility and slick roads at times. The worst impacts on the roads will likely be felt around the noon hour, with a total of 1-2 inches of snow likely, though an isolated area up to 3-4 inches can't be ruled out.
Due to potential slowdowns and impacts to the morning commute from this snow, a 10TV Weather Impact Alert Day has been issued from around 6 am through 2pm. Drive safe and add extra time into your commute just to be safe!
Scattered bands of snow will still be around for the evening commute, but impacts will mostly be to visibility, with only minor accumulation possible.
From here, the cold settles in again. Frigid air, with single digit lows and sub-zero wind chills, returns for the weekend. A 10TV Weather Impact Alert Day will continue Saturday morning due to wind chills that could hit -10 or colder. Other than the cold, expect mostly sunny skies accompany this on Saturday, with mostly cloudy skies and some isolated snow on Sunday.
We start to warm back up next Monday, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 30s. We make the 40s by Tuesday, but a rain/snow chance could return as early as next Wednesday, with temps staying near 40!
