This Applied Science project investigates the production of biochar from organic waste and its practical applications in sustainable agriculture and water treatment. By transforming biodegradable waste into a valuable carbon-rich material, the project demonstrates an innovative approach to environmental problem-solving.
Through controlled experimental analysis, we evaluated biochar’s adsorption capacity, its effectiveness in nutrient retention for soil improvement, and its ability to remove contaminants from water. The results highlight biochar as a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and scalable solution for sustainable development.
