I think honestly I think the rig is older than me, but it is not heavily utilized for some reason. So, I’m here to talk about the top three ways to utilize the split shot rig.”

What Is A Split Shot Rig

A split shot rig might look like a Carolina rig but it uses a different weight. To tie a rig for split shotting remove the bullet sinker. In place of the bullet weight crimp a piece of split shot, two or three feet above your Texas rigged bait. You can place your split shot about 18 to 24 inches above the bait. The type of soft bait you use is optional.
