Welcome to the twenty-second video in my "'Romeo and Juliet' GCSE English Literature Revision" series! In this video, I analyse Prince Escalus and Count Paris. I discuss who they are, what their story-roles might be, and what they could be symbols for. I also analyse a handful of quotations that relate to these characters, discussing how Shakespeare's use of language and writerly techniques help to create certain impressions of these characters. There are even two 'big questions' for you to think about in this video: one for Prince Escalus, and the other for Paris!
