We just docked here for lunch. We're essentially the only tourist in the island. Kudos to our private island hopping tour operator SeaTours Palawan for maximizing our privacy during these stops.
The word Payong in Tagalog or Filipino means umbrella. Payong Payong just means there's a lot of umbrellas. The limestone rocks here are shaped like upside down umbrellas that's why this island was called as such, according to our tour guides.
